annoyed I know this is an overflow, two posts in 24 hours, but inspiration struck
I hate self-important "indie/emo" dicks. "hey do you like modest mouse?" " i did, until they sold out." fuck you. if a band you like becomes popular, thats not a reason to stop liking their music. you should be happy that a band you like is getting more publicity. "but its the image of the band!" oh, so now you want image. music isnt enough. Thats kinda like saying, "well, i liked the show 'friends,' but only until it started smelling bad." a bands image shouldnt be as important as their music. Thats the statement the who made with "the who sell out." they took the whole concept of 'selling out' and said "hey, it doesnt matter, its still the same music. fuck you and your condescending indie bullshit attitude.
also, im gonna start lifeguarding!

i just think their newest album sucks.
and they gave float on to kids bop 7.
as someone who's been affected deeply by modest mouse music in the past, it pains me to see people jumping on the bandwagon after an album that was mediocre at best somehow chiseled its way into the mainstream.
hey and im sorry about my last comment; I didn't really intend to make fun of her, I was just kind of using her comment as a springboard to say what I had in mind, you dig?
